Write With Me was honored by the Westchester County Legislature with a proclamation and February 26th was declared countywide “Lily Josephs, Write With Me Day”. The program has also been recognized nationally by Boys & Girls Clubs and Barnes & Nobles for inspiring a love of reading and writing. By combining creativity and learning, Write With Me helps children build their confidence, discover their voices and collaborate to create and publish original books.

THE REFLECTION PROGRAM
The Reflection Program empowers children to discover their strengths, build confidence, and celebrate what makes them unique. Students decorate their own mirrors, look at their reflections, and create meaningful poems using each letter of the word REFLECT. Through creativity and self-expression, they learn the power of positive words and the importance of believing in themselves.

A WRITE WITH ME CREATIVE CHALLENGE
BIRTHDAY WRITING & JOURNAL PROGRAM
The Birthday Writing & Journal Program celebrates children at community centers with special birthday kits designed to inspire creativity and self-expression. Each kit includes a journal, a Write With Me booklet, colored pencils, and a sweet treat. Through journaling and creative writing, children are encouraged to express their thoughts, explore their imaginations, and discover the joy of putting their own stories into words.
A WRITE WITH ME CREATIVE CHALLENGE
GAME DAY
SNACK PICK
This creative marketing challenge brings together writing, entrepreneurship, and kindness at schools and universities. Each package includes two game day snacks and a writing card inviting students to create a 15-word marketing pitch for a chance to win a prize. Students enjoy one snack and are encouraged to share the other with someone else, turning a fun writing competition into a meaningful act of kindness.

This program combines the importance of physical fitness with valuable lessons in teamwork, leadership, and respect. Through sports, interactive activities, and creative writing, children learn what it means to be part of a team, support one another, communicate effectively, and lead by example. The program encourages confidence, sportsmanship, and an appreciation for working together toward a shared goal.
