Repurpose 4 A Cause
Founder, Kira Baker
Create with purpose. Build empathy. Give to others.
Repurpose 4 A Cause is a platform that transforms everyday materials into opportunities for creativity, purpose, and community impact. Through thoughtfully designed projects, participants learn to recognize value in what already exists and reimagine it in ways that benefit others. The program connects repurposing with problem-solving, empathy, and social responsibility, turning reuse into a meaningful form of action.

TESTIMONIALS

Kira had such a positive impact at camp this summer, both through her work with our Acorns (3½-year-olds) and through a service project she brought to camp. She created a really special opportunity for our campers to give back by making cards, snack bags, keychains, and other items that were donated to the Boys & Girls Club and Ronald McDonald House. She did an amazing job making the projects fun and meaningful for our campers while showing them how they can make a difference in their community.
SUNRISE DAY CAMP

As the Club's program Director, I can share that Kira's enthusiasm and work ethic have been a tremendous asset. She is reliable and kind. Kira has shown great dedication to our young members as a valued teen volunteer.

FROM A CLASSROOM CURRICULUM TO A COMMUNITY MOVEMENT
The Classroom Experience
The program began with structured, one-hour classes at the Boys & Girls Club. Original lesson plans, worksheets, and hands-on activities teach creativity, critical thinking, environmental responsibility, and empathy through service.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHT
Hundreds of Paper Pieces One Incredible Idea
The goal is bigger than the finished project. It is helping young people learn how to think differently, work together, and use their ideas with purpose.

Creativity that goes beyond the classroom.
Repurpose 4 A Cause challenges young people to look at ordinary materials differently. Through hands-on projects, students practice critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and creative decision-making. They then take those skills beyond the classroom by turning their ideas into projects that can inspire and impact others.

Giving Tuesdays
Giving Tuesdays is a seven-week empowerment program built around one simple idea: everything you receive is meant to be created for someone else. Each week, participants receive a new set of materials or a project kit to make something meaningful for a friend, family member, teacher, or someone in the community. The program turns kindness into action while building empathy, confidence, leadership, and the understanding that everyone has the power to give back.

PEN PAL PROGRAM
The Pen Pal Program connects children at Boys & Girls Clubs and community centers through fun, meaningful exchanges. Participants fill out pen pal forms, share messages, and create small handmade items to send back and forth to one another. Along the way, they build communication skills, form new connections, and experience the excitement of making and receiving something special from a new friend.

SWEET TASTE OF KINDNESS
A Sweet Taste of Kindness is a simple pay-it-forward program designed to make giving easy and meaningful. Each bag includes two of every item—such as an activity book, snack, and set of markers—so the recipient can take one of each, reseal the bag, and give the remaining set to someone else. The concept is simple: enjoy something for yourself, then pass the same experience forward and give someone else a taste of kindness.

BUSINESSES WITH PURPOSE

EXPANDING THE REACH
Kira's booklets have expanded beyond community programs to become part of Corporate Kindness events and employee giveback initiatives. Companies have incorporated her activity booklets into care packages and community outreach projects, bringing creativity and meaningful activities to many youth. Through these partnerships, Kira has extended the reach of Repurpose 4 A Cause while inspiring other to give back.
