Hi, my name is Alexandra Simon, and I have been an avid baker and chef since before I could even read a recipe. My favorite place is the kitchen, immersing myself into a new culinary project of some sort, whether it’s baking a 6 layered cake, or an elaborate meal, I just can’t seem to put down my spatula. Since everyone has been told to stay apart and keep their distance from public spaces, I decided to open up my own little online bakery through my Instagram account, @alexandra.bakes__ where you can place a custom order by DMing me for any special occasion you may be celebrating at home! Delivering baked goods directly to your home in Westchester, and available for pick-up as well!
Although COVID-19 has separated us, I have tried to come up with a way that we could all still come together and connect even if we are not able to be near one another, through food. Food is a universal thing that we all need and love, so what better way to show your appreciation for all the diligent delivery workers than by baking them a fresh batch of cookies or muffins?
Bake Bake America collaborated with Alexandra to facilitate Doorstep Delight into a nationwide program.
Doorstep Delight is a stay-at-home program that tries to spread some sweetness and smiles to our tireless delivery workers and postmen. From the comfort of your own home, you can bake up a batch of cookies, muffins, cake pops and more, wrap them up, and set them out in a basket or bowl for your delivery workers to take after dropping off a package to your house.
This simple action can help bring some light and joy to so many people and is a super fun way to do it too.
For every 50 orders, Alexandra is matching 50 cookies for Coachman Family Shelter.
Bake your goodies or choose a store bought treat.
Make separate goodie bags.
Print out note and place on your porch.
Send us a photo of your basket and what state you live in so we can inspire others.
"Thank you so much for the cookies. That was so kind of your daughter and you. Really appreciate the gesture and the cookies were really good."
